Our ways of working
Certification and quality
Quality is something we secure actively, not just on paper. Our confidential counselors are LVV-accredited and work according to the LVV Code of Conduct. We also engage in collegial consultation with internal and external peers, hold monthly peer supervision, follow the Dutch Association of Confidential Counselors, and keep up with professional literature and e-publications. That keeps our method sharp.
LVV accreditation
Our confidential counselors are LVV-accredited. We follow the LVV Code of Conduct and keep our register actively up to date.
Collegial consultation
We hold regular collegial consultation, internally within 1for2 and with external peers. Cases are discussed in anonymized form so our approach stays sharp.
Peer supervision
Monthly peer-supervision sessions with fellow confidential counselors. We test our method against the practice of others.
Following the BNS
We actively follow the work of the Dutch Association of Confidential Counselors. Their publications plus our peer input together form our professional knowledge.
Professional literature and e-publications
1for2 actively keeps up with professional literature and e-publications relevant to confidential counseling, profiling, crisis negotiation and mediation. What we read, we test in practice and share in our peer supervision. A current overview of the sources, methods and peer-reviewed studies our work builds on can be found in the Center of Excellence.
